| excelling in excellence |
Welcome! I'm Mr McColl, and for those
of you who don't know me, I teach Technical Subjects at Banff Academy.
I worked in and am qualified in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering before gaining a Degree in Technological
Education and entering the Teaching Profession, and therefore can give you good advice about these Industries or point you
in the right direction for careers choices. I also hold Theological qualifications and am involved in speaking and leading
Christian Youth work, here in school and in various Churches- especially music-

Scotland is presently very short of Engineers and training is available for male and female workers at all levels, and
in your area of interest. All technical subjects can be a little
bit tricky at the best of times, that's why I have set up the Technical subjects online learning zone... enjoy

This website is a collection
of links and resources donated by teachers, students and pupils who study and teach these subjects. Their work is acknowledged
and thanked on each page. They hope you will find it helpful. This site is aimed at giving direct coverage to the
areas of Technological subjects which you will need to revise for tests and exams, and covers Standard Grade mostly,
especially at Credit level, but also some Higher stuff. If you can learn as much as possible from these materials, you will definitely
pass tests, etc, at a higher level.
Try to sketch, draw
and name tools and processes to learn them and always practice problems involving calculations. The longer you spend on this
site, (that is, actually studying and not just browsing around!!)
and memorising information from this site and from your school notes, the better your grades will become. I wish
you all great success in your studies. Some people are just naturally clever, but most others have to work hard to get there.
Remember also, to ask for help, as teachers really do want their pupils to achieve and do well and get great satisfaction
helping others. Good luck with your studies.
.
